Permalink New York Style Cheesecake

Ingredients
Cheesecake part:

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
  • ¼ Cup sugar
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon grated lemon rind
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ½ Cup sour cream
Crumby Crust:
  • 2/3 Cup graham cracker crust
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
Directions
  1. Beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smoth.
  2. Beat in egg, vanilla, lemon rind, and cornstarch.
  3. Stir in sour cream until well blended.
  4. For crust: Mix all ingredients together, press into bottom and ¾ up the side of a springform pan.
  5. Pour cream cheese mixture into crust.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool in the oven for 45 minutes, with oven door open.
  8. Top with anything you like.
Makes a cheesecake. Whoooopitty dooo!
