New York Style Cheesecake
Ingredients
Cheesecake part:
- 8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
- ¼ Cup sugar
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon grated lemon rind
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ½ Cup sour cream
Crumby Crust:
- 2/3 Cup graham cracker crust
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
Directions
- Beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smoth.
- Beat in egg, vanilla, lemon rind, and cornstarch.
- Stir in sour cream until well blended.
- For crust: Mix all ingredients together, press into bottom and ¾ up the side of a springform pan.
- Pour cream cheese mixture into crust.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
- Allow to cool in the oven for 45 minutes, with oven door open.
- Top with anything you like.
