I promise you, it's good. It sounds like ass, but it is SO good. And perfect for fourth of july parties.
The recipe came about when the hubby and I was po' in Los Angeles. We had a can of lemonade concentrate, three cans of beer, and a little bit of stoli vanil left in the freezer. That's IT. We both wanted to drink and there wasn't really enough beers to share, or any milk/kahlua/gin/etc to make cocktails with the vodka.... so we mixed up all the available ingredients in a pitcher and got delightfully wasted.
A good substitute is to buy a bottle of SKYY Blue malt beverage and mix it with some beer. It's not AS good, but near good enough.

I just found out if you use limeade instead of lemonade and tequila instead of vodka, you get beergaritas. In case you wondered.
